Selenite automatically begins cleansing and charging when you place your crystals on it. They should be on the selenite plate for a full day which can ensure that all of the negative energy is expelled from them. Ensure that you clean new crystals to remove any unwanted energy before you begin using them. They should be placed anywhere in your home.
Selenite does not need to be charged or cleansed, but it couldn't hurt to put it out along with your crystals under a full moon overnight. Just remember to bring your plate and stones back inside and not leave them out in the sun.
